COAS signs death sentence of 14 terrorists: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: According to the Military Media wing, Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa confirmed death sentences awarded to 14 hardcore terrorists.


The terrorists were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism, including attacking the Armed Forces/Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan, destruction of communication infrastructure, police station, educational institution and killing of innocent civilians.

Their terrorist activities resulted in deaths of 16 persons, 13 Armed Forces along with three civilians and injuring 19 others, the ISPR said.

The convicts were tried by special military courts with 20 convicts being awarded imprisonment, the statement added.
