Headed by Justice Azmat Saeed, a three member bench heard the case.

Abidi’s counsel told the court that the PPP leader spent 70 days in jail and has realised his mistake. The former senator was accused of using “highly insulting and inappropriate language” against Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar, as mentioned in a first information report (FIR) filed against him prior to his arrest.
