Diector Ashir Azeem who made himself a name as a director after directing illustrious drama serial “Dhuwaan”, aired in 1992, has left his home country for Canada permanently, source Twitter.
He took to social media and announced his permanent departure from Pakistan by saying, “ I left the country because I got disappointed Not with Sharifs or Zardaris, yeh to hamesha Esay hi thay, but with the people” with citing a clip from his popular drama serial ‘Dhuwan’ along with his tweet.

When a twitter user inquired him about the post circulating on the social media regarding him driving a truck driver in Canada, he not only did verify the rumor but also said he feels proud to be a truck driver.

It is to mention that his movie “Maalik”, produced in 2016, faced a strong backlash from the various politicians and even it was barred from screening inside the country for its portrayal of Pakistan Politics, though the ban was revoked by the court later, after him going through a lot of controversies.
