The famous film star Nadeem baig, well-known for his spectacular acting, singing, and producing, is celebrating his 77th birthday, here on Thursday.
He brought up in Vijaywada, Madras, British India, and later, at the age of five he migrated to Pakistan after the attainment of independence by Pakistan. He embarked on his acting-career in 1967 by featuring in a film named Chakori as a lead star with opposite actress Shabana, which bagged him a prestigious Nigar Award in the best actor’s nominations. And since then, he rose to the fame and did back to back blockbuster movies like Chotay Sahab and Sangdil , Nadan (1973), Anari , Pehchan (1976) , Talash (1976), Aina (1977), Hum Dono (1980), Lajawab, Qurbani (1981), Sangdil (1982), and Dehleez (1983).
With the passing time, he became one of the leading stars in the film industry, and he did not only make his name in film industry as a actor but also as a singer. He has sung so many evergreen songs for the films.
He has appeared in over two hundred films and has walked off with 19 Nigar awards for his best acting and also bagged FIVE National Film Awards. He has also crowned National Film Awards for his outstanding performances in LAZAWAL(1984), QATIL KI TALASH(1986), MUKHRA(as Producer, 1988), BAROOD KI CHAON(1989) and a LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD(2000)
President of Pakistan also honored him with the Medal for Pride of Performance which is another milestone of Nadeem’s contribution to Pakistani Cinema at the highest level in 1991.
