Four people were injured as an oil tanker collided with a goods train near the border between Sindh’s Thatta and Jamshoro districts on Saturday, railway officials said.
Railways Station House Officer Kotri Asad Unar told that four people, including the driver of the oil tanker, sustained injuries in the collision. However, no deaths have been reported so far.
Karachi Railways Operation Control confirmed a few bogies of the goods train also derailed, suspending railway traffic.
Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railways Karachi Nisar Memon said rescue work is underway to clear the site of the accident.
It will take at least 15 hours to clear the area, he said.
