General (R) Asim Bajwa appointed as Chairman CPEC authority

ISLAMABAD: According to the notification issued, Lieutenant General (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa appointed as chairman CPEC authority for 4 years.

The establishment division of federal government has issued a notification today on November 26, which states that Lieutenant General (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa appointed as chairman CPEC Authority.

Earlier, the federal Government decided to make Let. Asim Salim Bajwa a new head of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority on November 23. A summary has been sent to the Prime Minister Imran Khan for the appointment of the Head of CPEC Authority.

General Asim Saleem Bajwa is a retired Pakistani Three-star general who served as Commander Southern Command before his retirement and also served as Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) from 2012 to 2016 preceded Major Gen. Asif Ghafoor.
