KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) veteran leader Ali Raza Abidi furnished his resignation, on Saturday night, to convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui from the basic membership of the party.
Abidi, who contested elections from NA-243 against prime minister Imran Khan was earlier expected to be fielded again by the MQM(P) in the by-polls, as the seat was vacated by the latter.
He posted his resignation on the twitter, citing personal reasons:

“This is to bring to your attention that I will not be able to continue participation with MQM Pakistan due to personal reasons.”
