LAHORE: Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday has been arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials from the Toll Plaza, Lahore—- according to media reports.
Earlier, today the anti-graft body summoned the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader which he declined to follow as he sought two days time to file a proper reply over the allegations pertaining to Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) case.
Recently addressing the press conference he challenged the incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan to arrest him over corruption allegations.
Abbasi was subsequently shifted to Islamabad by NAB from Lahore. He will be presented before an accountability court in the federal capital as NAB will appeal for a 15-day physical remand of the ex-premier.
