ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau’s spokesperson (NAB) has denied reports about the interview that chairman Justice(R) Javed Iqbal did not give any interview to any newspaper.
The denial has come following the concerns of former president and prime minister, Asif Ali Zardari and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi slamming the alleged interview which appeared on the Urdu newspaper.
“NAB chairman did not give any interview. The columnist himself cleared this in his article”, claimed the spokesperson.
A day earlier, while talking to reporters outside the accountability court, the Pakistan People’s Party leader, Zardari said that the post of Chairman NAB does not permit him to give an interview.
Likewise, Pakistan Muslim League(NAWAZ) vice-president Shahid Khaqan Abbasi alleged that by giving an interview, the chairman NAB has lost impartiality.
In the supposed interview, the head of anti-watch dog alleged government and opposition members for mingling into and creating obstructions in the process of the investigative process.
