ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has sent a legal notice to Chairman National Accountability Bureau(NAB) over the allegations of money laundering worth billion of dollars to India by the former himself.
The notice sought an apology from Justice(R) Javed Iqbal and one billion rupees as damages within 14 days.
Furthermore notice termed the press release as an attempt to influence upcoming elections against Pakistan Muslim League(Nawaz).
Notice was in reference to a NAB release issued after a news item published by a local newspaper incorrectly referenced the World Bank’s 2016 Migration and Remittance Book to say that India’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $4.9 billion due to huge cash inflows from Pakistan attributable to money laundering by the Sharif family.
PML(N) supreme leader also demanded a written apology to be published in all Urdu and English newspapers outlet.
