Nawaz, Maryam leaves for London

LAHORE: On Thursday, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz left for London from Lahore airport.

They will spend Eid-ul-Fitr with Nawaz’s ailing wife, Begum Kulsoom, and return to Pakistan next week.

Both PML(N) leaders will reach London via Doha

While speaking to the media before departure to London, Maryam confirmed that she and Nawaz will return to the country next week.

It is pertinent to mention that the National Accountability Bureau(NAB) had earlier this week requested the interior ministry to place names of PML(N) supreme leader Nawaz, Maryam and Captain(R) Safdar in Exit Control List.

However, the matter pertaining to the placement of Nawaz’s name in ECL was referred to interim federal cabinet headed by caretaker prime minister Nasir-ul-Mulk to decide over the aforementioned matter.
