One man killed as fire blazed in Ali Towers, Lahore

LAHORE: According to Newsone, on Saturday one man was killed as a blaze erupted at the Ali Towers situated on Lahore’s MM Alam road on Saturday, rescue sources said.

The deceased has been identified as Imran, who jumped from the plaza in a bid to rescue his life.

Imran was shifted to the hospital, where he could not sustained to injuries and breathed his last.

However, one more injured has been shofted to hospital as rescue team evacuated the people from the building.

 

Earlier, Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hasan Chohan confirmed that no casualties were confirmed by the rescue personnel.

“Every single person was rescued from the building,” the provincial information minister said.

The local administration said that the fire has been extinguished at the basement of the plaza and the procedural cooling process is underway.

“The plaza is owned by former Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif’s son in law. Investigations are underway on the cause of the fire,” Chohan said while briefing the media over the incident.
