“There is no truth in the story; PCB Chairman Mr. Ehsan Mani has made no request or contacted Patron-in-Chief, Prime Minister Imran Khan for the appointment of Mr. Majid Khan as Chief Executive Officer (CEO.)”, statement reads.

The statement further reads, “Meanwhile, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Governing Council is intact with Mr. Ehsan Mani as the Chairman, the rest of the committees are being reconstituted. The announcement in this regard would be made in due course.”

However, Newspaper stands by its story that the proposal was made but it was turned down at initial stages after receiving no positive response.
