ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Saturday has nominated Dr. Arif Alvi for the presidency slot of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Dr. Arif Alvi, who is a dentist by profession was elected from NA-247, Karachi constituency.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday had announced that the Presidential Election will take place on Sept. 4.
As per the time schedule issued by the commission, candidates can file their nomination papers for the presidential polls in Islamabad and the four provinces by August 27, 12 noon.
“The nomination papers will be scrutinised on August 29,” the notification read, adding that “candidature can be withdrawn by noon of August 30 and the listicle of approved candidates will be released on the same day by 1 pm.”
The voting for presidential elections will begin from 10am to 4pm in the National Assembly as well as in the four provincial assemblies .
