Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has expressed a wish to see Pakistan before he dies.
“I am 65 years old and I want to see Pakistan before I die. I want my children to see their roots,” Kapoor tweeted on Sunday.
The actor has a house in Peshawar, Pakistan. It was constructed between 1918 and 1922 by Dewan Basheswarnath Kapoor, the father of Prithviraj Kapoor, the first member of their family to enter the film industry.
Farooq Abdhulla ji, Salaam! Totally agree with you, sir. J&K is ours, and PoK is theirs. This is the only way we can solve our problem. Accept it, I am 65 years old and I want to see Pakistan before I die. I want my children to see their roots. Bas karva Dijiye. Jai Mata Di !

The Kapoors moved to India after the 1947 partition. The family’s ancestral haveli is located in the Kissa Khwani Bazaar locality of the old city.
According to some media reports, Rishi Kapoor had visited the family home in 1990 while shooting a film in Pakistan.
