ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Asad Umar Tuesday said there was a vacuum of $12 billion in Pakistan’s balance of payments, for which $6 billion were provided by Saudi Arabia and the rest came from China.
Umar said so while addressing a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. He said that now there was no balance-of-payment crisis in the country.
The finance minister said that a high-level delegation will be visiting China on November 9. “The delegation, which will also include the State Bank governor, will finalise features relating to balance of payments in China.”
