SUKKUR: Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah said it is up to the party to challenge results in Azad Kashmir elections.
“I have no knowledge of any potential meeting between co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari Ishaq and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar,” he said in a media talk here while responding a query from a journalist.
Ishaq Dar has business in Dubai, he added.
Influences from the federal government play their role in Azad Kashmir elections, he remarked reacting to the landslide victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) obtained in AJK polls.
Replying to a question about party’s Dubai huddle, Shah asserted, “It is not the first time that a party meeting is being held in Dubai.”
When drawn his attention to PPP’s recent standoff with the paramilitary troops, he came up with short reply, “Rangers headquarters are present everywhere in Sindh. Paratroopers are called wherever needed.”
He called upon National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take to task the big-shots.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was and is absolutely fine, he added.
