Those demanding accountability have their own offshore companies: PML-N

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leaders have on Monday said that the people demanding accountability of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif have their own offshore companies. They said that government could do anything to maintain its writ as nobody could be allowed to lockdown Islamabad.

Holding a press conference along with PML-N leaders Talal Chaudhry and Muhammad Zubair, Daniyal Aziz said that entire family of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was involved in making offshore companies. He said that the ‘groups’ from Gujrat and Peshawar also had their names in Panama Papers.

Daniyal added that Imran Khan and PTI leader Jahangir Tareen will also be searched in Election Commission on November 2. “Imran Khan is going to lockdown Islamabad against a person who doesn’t even have his name in Panama Leaks”, he said.

Talking on the occasion, Muhammad Zubair said that it wasn’t PTI that would investigate Panama Leaks. He said that Supreme Court was the legal forum for accountability. What’s the point behind sit-in and protests when Supreme Court has already issued notices, he asked.

He alleged that Imran Khan was pressurising the courts to get a decision in his favour. “Imran wants to lockdown the federal capital and also hopes at the same time that there will be no arrests”, Zubair added.

Talal Chaudhry said on the occasion that PTI had every right to protest but could not be permitted to spread chaos and invade the capital city. He alleged that PTI was getting armed to occupy Islamabad.
