KARACHI: A woman, along with her lover, murdered her elder sister and sister-in-law after they refused his marriage proposal in Karachi’s Orangi Town in the wee hours of Monday morning.
According to police officials, Sumbul and Sadaf, both aged between 30 and 35 years of age, were murdered by Faheema and Anees for rejecting Anees’s proposal, creating obstacles in the marriage of the two.
The bodies were found at their residential apartment in Orangi Town’s Sector 14, near the Shah Faisal Chowk.
The murder weapon, a sharp edged dagger, was recovered and the accused, Faheema and Anees, have been arrested and are undergoing investigations.
In initial investigation, suspect Anees confessed to having worked with Faheema in killing her sister Sumbul and sister-in-law Sadaf, stating accused Faheema administered high dosages of sedative medications to the women and helped him slash their throats with a dagger at around 3am in the morning.
However, in later confessions, both switched their statements and accused each other of having committed the murders.
