World XI vs Pakistan: Pakistan sets the target of 198 for World XI to chase

LAHORE: World XI has to chase 198  to win the first of the three match seires of Independence Cup.


Batting first Pakistan lost the opener Fakhar Zaman in  the first over. Since then Ahmed Shehzad and  Babar Azam stood on the crease for 122 runs Partnership.

Ahmed Shahzad (39) was dismissed by Ben Cutting in the 15th over of the innings. Babar Azam was out for impressive 86, as he was dismissed by spinner Imran Tahir at 143-3

Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed failed to score big as he was caught behind on a delivery of Sri lankan bowler Thesara Perera. Ahmed scored 4 runs.

Former Test captain  Shoaib Malik was dismissed  by Perera for impressive cameo, out for 38 in the last over.
