Israeli PM refuses to meet American senators

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to meet Democratic US Senators. Senators expressed their desire during Netanyahu visit to USA.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, in his reply letter to US Senators Richard Durbin and Dian Feinstein, said that he respected US Democrats Senators desire of meeting him, but the meeting could lead to more misunderstandings, therefore, he cannot meet them.

Senior Democrats Senators Durbin and Feinstein warned in written request for closed room meeting with Netanyahu that US-Israel relations have been propagated for taking undue political side.

According to Arab TV, Republican senators had violated diplomatic protocol for inviting Netenyahu to address joint meeting of US House and Senate, without consulting with White House or democrat members of Congress.
